F3K team selection qualifying event in Bruce Davidson’s back yard.

Welcome to my second annual hand launch event.
Friday June 18 will be open flying from sunup to sundown. There will be no lunch provisions
Saturday will be a full day of preliminary rounds with lunch catered by KenTex Barbecue and dinner at Claudia Sanders
Sunday will start with the last few preliminary rounds and finish with the top 10 pilots in a 4 round flyoff

I recently purchased a Park zone Radian and I must say, A-MAZE-ING!!! I have had so much fun with it and attaching my phone to it and flying. That is right, I put my phone on it and here are some of the videos.

Just go the Great planes fling in the mail. I am looking to see what the best way to get it setup and ready to go. I have servos on order for it as well and soon hope to have the fling ready to go as my daily flier for while I am on break at work. If you have any ideas for setup please let me know, oh and I am going to start posting my materials on the fling build and the ROV build more often.

Update. 3-19-10
Was looking through the manual and noticed that the tail is controlled by string, and as I have never built a plane that used string for moving the control surfaces I am a little weary of using some. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Important Update, I would like to thank every one who has been helping and the list is growing for names on the plane. I have been asked to where some one would send a financial donation. I greatly appreciate the offer, donations I was thinking of were Ideas and tips and maybe a little hardware for the experiment. Again thank you for your generous offers, instead please use those resources for something more worth while, there are many disaster relief funds and the cure for cancer. Thank you all again for your support.

I am writing this post to let every one know that I am going to be starting a project that will involve a possible full design of a plane that will be able to be used almost like a UAV. That means an Unmanned Areal Vehicle, now I know what you may say “Glen, people have done a UAV already!” Well yes that is true, but I am not one of them. More info below

I have figured out what I have for an inventory of parts and so far so good.
Will be posting detailed specs soon.

Update Dec 13th 2009—-
I have been extremely busy with work and have not had a lot of time to make much headway on the project. I am going to be posting a lot of information over then next few days as I have a little bit of time that I have devoted to just the project. Also I am planning on making a video soon to update and show some of the parts that are avail. May just make a list with pictures not sure yet.

Wow typing ^ was odd! Happy new years all!
I have some sad news, I am having to postpone this project for financial reasons as money has become a lot tighter and buying an parts at this time is impossible. I am hoping to do some more work in the near future on the project but at the current time I am going to focus on some collecting ideas and such. Will post the ideas and may even make some drawings.

We had a great time at the 2009 Mid-ams at the Kentucky horse park in Lexington Ky! Was a great turn out both days and we had champions and new comers flying at the same time.
